Increase Cooperation And Teamwork in The Workplace With Some Music

Workers StockA study from Cornell University shows that music in the office can have a significant effect on cooperation. Participants in this experiment, were given tokens with which they could contribute to the team or keep for themselves.  Research found that when upbeat music played, the workers would give more to their team, demonstrating that happy motivates people to make decisions that contribute to their fellow workers.  When unhappy music or no music played, however, each participant held onto more of their tokens, exhibiting tendencies to incite the opposite effect.  For more on this enlightening musical experiment, click here.
