The Taste of Chicago has been going on in Grant Park since Wednesday (July 6th) and Eli’s Cheesecake Company intends to really bring the party this weekend.  On Saturday, the famed cheesecake crafters will unveil a 1,500 pound cheese cake in front of the Buckingham Fountain.  Owner Marc Schulman warns visitors to get to the cake early because, “The line is pretty incredible once we start to serve…And it usually takes about 1½ hours to serve, so it just gets bigger and bigger from there.”

This is part of their annual birthday celebration, commemorating the year that both The Eli’s Cheesecake Company and The Taste of Chicago began.  Eli’s hasn’t missed a Taste and you won’t want to miss this enormous cake!
