Get ready to paint the town pink, Chicago!
Join the incredible Kim Berk from 94.7 WLS and thousands of your neighbors at the Susan G. Komen® 2025 Race for the Cure on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Soldier Field. This annual event is a powerful opportunity to rally together and directly fuel life-saving breast cancer research and vital patient care services right here in our community. Every step you take and every dollar raised makes a tangible difference in the lives of those impacted by this disease.
The statistics are a stark reminder of why this cause is so critical: every 12 minutes, a woman in the U.S. dies from breast cancer, and here in Illinois alone, over 12,000 women are expected to be diagnosed this year. While progress has been made, with a significant drop in the death rate since 1989, there’s still so much work to do to ensure everyone has access to the timely, high-quality care they deserve. The Komen Chicago Race for the Cure directly supports Komen’s initiatives, including their free Patient Care Center, which provided over 1,250 services to over 1,000 individuals in Illinois last year, offering vital support like patient navigation, financial assistance, and emotional guidance.
This isn’t just a race; it’s a movement to create a future without breast cancer. By participating, you’ll be contributing to groundbreaking research advancements and strengthening the vital support network for our Chicago community. Join us at Soldier Field on May 17th and be a part of this impactful day. You can find all the registration details at www.komen.org/chicagorace.
Let’s stand together, take action, and show our unwavering support!
