No really. I have a ticket on the Parker Solar Probe – A Mission to Touch the Sun.

The probe is named for astrophysicist Dr. Eugene Parker – the retired University of Chicago scientist – the first living person to have a NASA mission named after him.

Ok, I won’t actually be going in person…you know…because I would melt. But my name will be on a memory card aboard the probe when it plunges through the Sun’s atmosphere.

The Parker Probe will come closer to the surface of the Sun than any spacecraft. Ever.

Best part? We will get to see the pictures…the first ever close up view of a star. Yes, the Sun is a star.
