The Fata Morgana Phenomenon…whaaaaaat??
People across the lake 60 miles away in St. Joseph (MI) could see the Chicago skyline Saturday evening.
My mom said when she takes off from Chicago she can sometimes see Michigan across the water.
It’s called the Fata Morgana Phenomenon and it happens during sunset over cold water. But the Weather Channel explains it better than me.
It might have even had something to do with the Titanic sinking.
I feel so smart now.
