Friends of the Parks look to recruit volunteers for a record Earth Day cleanup

To mark the 40th anniversary of Friends of the Parks’ citywide Earth Day cleanups, the non-profit organization is looking to spread the word that they are looking for volunteers to help make this year’s Earth Day cleanup one of their biggest ever.

For four decades, FOTP has partnered with the Chicago Park District to gather Chicagoans all over the city each spring to clean and green the City’s beloved parks. On Saturday, April 26, they are aiming to reach a record number of parks than ever.

FOTP has a link on their website to register at a park with a pre-designated site captain, as well as an email to reach out to for any other questions potential volunteers may have.
