Lollapalooza Festival 2024 officially kicks off Thursday in Chicago.
The four-day music festival will include a variety of artists from rap to electro pop and indie to pop-punk.
But before you head off to this year’s festival, here’s everything you need to know:
When and where is Lollapalooza?
The festival takes place every year in the city’s Grant Park. It will run from Thursday, Aug. 1 to Sunday, Aug. 4. Gates will open at 11 a.m. and close at 10 p.m. each day.
The gates are located at the following locations:
- Main Entrance: Michigan and Ida B. Wells
- North Entrance: Monroe and Columbus
What are the street closures?
- Balbo from Columbus to DuSable Lake Shore Drive: July 17th – August 11th
- Jackson, from Columbus to DuSable Lake Shore Drive: July 23rd – August 10th
- Balbo, from Michigan to Columbus: July 29th– August 5th
- Jackson, from Michigan to Columbus: July 29th – August 5th
- Columbus, from Monroe to Roosevelt: July 29th – August 5th
- Columbus (Northbound, two center lanes), from 13th Street to Roosevelt: July 29th – August 5th
- Congress Plaza Dr, from Michigan to Columbus: July 29th – August 5th
- Monroe, from Michigan to DuSable Lake Shore Drive: July 31st – August 5th
Who are this year’s headliners?
This year’s festival will include performances by Megan Thee Stallion, Hozier, SZA, Stray Kids, The Killers, Future X Metro Boomin, Blink-182 and Melanie Martinez.

Public transportation is encouraged. All Chicago Transit Authority bus lines and most rail stations are accessible.
Starting Thursday, Aug. 1 and running through Sunday, Aug. 4:
