Just in time for Halloween…you can stay in a River North hotel room dedicated to an infamous Chicago serial killer!

This is HH Holmes’ Murder Castle.

That’s what they called it…his Murder Castle! It was on the corner of South Wallace Avenue and West 63rd Street in Englewood.

He is referred to as America’s first serial killer, The Devil in the White City and an arch-fiend for all the ways he murdered people in his castle during the Chicago World’s Fair called the World’s Columbian Exposition.

I won’t tell you about them but you can check it out on Wikipedia…it’s worth the read if that’s your thing.

And it is mine. As ghoulish as that is.

And now the Acme Hotel in River North has an HH Holmes-inspired room you can stay in if you have the guts.

Speaking of guts…the room has newspaper clippings, “bones” of his victims and his picture in the window.

Probably not the room to celebrate your anniversary in. But then again, I have no idea what you’re into!!
