I have to admit, I’ve sat at City Winery on the Riverwalk when the yachts pull up and watched with fascination and a teensy bit (maybe more) of jealousy of the impeccably dressed rich people drinking wine and laughing like they don’t have a care in the world. I’ve wondered what that might feel like. I wouldn’t want it every weekend…I’m more of a jet ski and beach girl. But maybe once it would be fun to try.

Here’s our chance! SailTime Chicago offers what they call “managed ownership”. It’s like a yacht time-share. SailTime says it’s a way to responsibly have your own yacht.

Then again, they don’t have prices on the website of how much you have to kick in to time-share a yacht so I’m guessing it’s out of my league.

I think maybe I could swing a time-share kayak. Or a sugar daddy.
